In response to requests from many Hall users, The Committee secured funds to extend the limited space behind the main building to provide a room that could be booked separately from the rest of the building with dedicated access from the new path one the south side of the main hall.

'The Garden Room' was completed in the Summer of 2012.

It boasts a vaulted ceiling, plenty of natural light, a small kitchen area, meeting tables and seating for up to 30 people. The Garden Room's main use is to serve as a 'Green Room' space for visiting speakers, musicians and performers but can also be used for small meetings and social gatherings.

In addition to the new 'Garden Room' the following were added or improved:
  • A new large patio with a garden accessible from the Garden Room
  • Secure fencing and gates
  • Improved exterior lighting
  • Flexible interior lighting
  • Improved pathways from the emergency exits
  • Water butts to collect water for the garden plants and Village hanging baskets
