Booking Procedure
To enquire about room availability, to arrange to view the halls or to make a booking, please follow these instructions carefully.
Check the Bookings Diary to see if the hall(s) and facilities are available for the date and time you require.
Email - (click here) the Booking Secretary, Bill Norman, or call him if you want more information - advisable for multiple bookings.
Please read the information below fully before calling.

Whether booking or just enquiring please have available, or give, full details of your enquiry, including:
Room(s) required: Main Hall / Belleme Room / Garden Room / Kitchen (full use) / Kitchen (light use) / Stage
Options required: Chair Placement / storage - including no of chairs / tables - up to 50 / 51 to 100 / over 100
Licensing: Consumption of Alcohol only / Sale of Alcohol / Performance of music (live, recorded or radio)
Date(s) and Time(s) required (this must include setting up and clearing up time)
Name of Organisation (if applicable)
Purpose of the booking: Party / Class / Meeting / Private Function / Sale of Goods / Other (please state)
Privacy level: Private / Public
Name of person making the booking, obviously!

Invoice terms previously agreed (if applicable). If you do not have an arrangement you will be invoiced in full at the time of booking
Invoice to someone other than the hirer (EG. treasurer) - (Full contact details including name, email address and phone number)
Please copy and paste the blue list above into an email, add / delete as applicable, then send with any additional notes.
This is the most efficient method of enquiring or confirming a booking.
Please ensure that you include sufficient time for setting up and removing your effects.
If you hold up another hirer from using the hall there may be an additional charge levied.
All bookings require full payment at the time of booking the hire unless the hirer has an agreement for multi booking stage payments in advance.
If your booking attracts a deposit, this must also be paid as soon as you receive the invoice or we reserve the right to cancel the booking.
You will be sent a confirmation and invoice by e-mail.
You can then pay by dropping a cheque into Inspiration or by post to:
Goring Village Hall, C/O Inspiration, 1 The Arcade, High Street, Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, RG8 9AY.
We prefer you to pay by BACS. Details will be on the invoice.
In either case it is essential that you include the invoice reference with your payment.
To make a special arrangement for invoicing please contact the Booking Secretary.
Keys are issued and payments taken on behalf of GVH by Inspiration during their normal opening hours.
Terms & Conditions
Please ensure that you have read and understand all of the Terms & Conditions, especially regarding Licensing and Insurance.
It is an implied condition of the confirmation that will be sent to you during this interim period that you have done so.
Checklist
A Hirer's Checklist is available to help the smooth running of your event.
Notes:
Bookings are on a first come, first served, basis and cannot be entered into the system without ALL the information, so don't delay between enquiring and making your booking.
If you have booked to use the kitchen it is your responsibility to check that it has what you need for your event.
If your event requires lighting for the stage you will need to supply this. The hall only owns normal overhead lighting.
Bookings for weddings, parties and discos will require a separate deposit of £250 which is held against the possibility of damage to the Hall(s).
If you are charging £20 or more for an event involving live copyrighted music, you may be liable to pay an additional charge to the Performing Rights Society. If in doubt, please check with the Booking Secretary.
